Recognition for the Promote project in Ireland

Momentum Educate + Innovate (MEI) was recently nominated in the Inclusion -Leading the Way in Leitrim category of the Leitrim Development Company and WorkAbility Employer Awards held in Drumhierny Woodland Hideaway, Ireland.

MEI was honoured to be nominated for the inaugural awards, and it was a privilege to be part of a special evening celebrating inclusion, community, leadership, and the fantastic work being done across County Leitrim. MEI colleagues Val Robus and Lola Gonzalez accepted recognition for the entry, which was based on Momentum Educate + Innovate’s research for PROMOTE on including highly skilled migrant and Ukrainian women in the Irish labour market. It seeks to optimise their skills and provide talent to local employers through meaningful work-based learning experiences.

Interestingly, fellow nominees JJ O’Hara, Future Cast, and category winners The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney had been involved in the research for the PROMOTE Labour Market & Skills Reports | Promote Project. Congratulations to all nominees and winners. It was amazing to see and hear from so many inspiring people and organisations recognised for the positive difference they are making across the county. The keynote speaker, Dr Mei Lin Yap, the first person in Ireland with an intellectual disability to receive an honorary doctorate, moved many with her inspiring address.
Thank you to everyone involved in organising such a fantastic event. MEI is proud to be part of a community that values inclusion, opportunity, and belonging for all.
