The Promote Project Learning and Exchange Event in Leitrim

We were delighted to recently host the first Learning and Exchange event for the Promote project at our office in Leitrim Village. Samantha Carty is delighted to be working on this project on behalf of Momentum, Educate, and Innovate.

The focus of Promote is to undertake research with target groups; highly skilled migrant women, displaced Ukrainian women, and employers, to identify skills and facilitate meaningful integration into the labour market. The seven-strong partnership quickly achieved great clarity on their roles and responsibilities for the coming months of research.

The highlight of the in-person meeting was an interactive session with three women (Inessa Kiriachok, Silvia Apostol and Victoria Aslan 🙏) who generously shared their experiences of migration, the challenges they faced, and their resilience in finding work and reskilling. Their stories provide valuable insights that will guide us in building supportive, targeted approaches for labour market integration.

Promote aims to enhance VET educators’ understanding of the career challenges and prospects for these highly skilled women. By creating understanding among educators, we aim to develop the career potential and talent of some of Europe’s most skilled yet vulnerable women. Over 30 months, the Promote project plans to upskill over 50 VET educators and more than 75 highly skilled Ukrainian and migrant women, creating a more inclusive and dynamic European workforce.

We’ll keep you updated on the progress of Promote in the coming months. Our partnership:
Północna Izba Gospodarcza, Gairmeach Training Ltd., Outside Media & Knowledge WECF France, Folkuniversitetet, Momentum Educate + Innovate, and HETEL Heziketa Teknikoko Elkartea (FP – LH)
